    The Golden Chapel inside Bazylika Archikatedralna Świętych Apostołów Piotra i Pawła w Poznaniu. The Poznań Cathedral dates its origins to the year 968, when the Poznań diocese was created. Mieszko I, regarded as the founder of the unified Polish state, is traditionally believed to have been baptized in this region around 966, a turning point in the Christianization of Poland.
