For years I wanted to make this photo. When I finally got the chance to be by the bridge, I almost forgot to take the picture because I was completely captivated by the view.

These pigeons by Pier 39 in San Francisco were afraid of absolutely nothing. This was shot at 40mm. Granted on an M43 body. Nevertheless, these didn’t even flinch when I got close. This image is part of the California series.
