Dean Brown and I went to McNivens, a Scottish restaurant in downtown Indianapolis, today. As we sat there talking photography (actually, it was more him talking and me listening), I saw his reflection in one of the frames by our table. I took my camera and shot. The photo is really grainy because I shot at ISO 1600 f/2.8 at 1/20 of a second. And it came out better than I thought it did.

Jim W. Brown, also known as "The all-knowing ex-dean," looks on during a converstion at McNivens restaurant in dowtown Indianapolis on Wednesday, August 24, 2010.

He isn’t the ex-Dean. He is just “The Dean.” Amazing picture, love it!

Nice, You have to always be looking to take the obvious that many see, but don’t see and turn it into a piece of art….

That is very true! We were done eating and I looked to the right and I saw his reflection there. I adjusted, focused and shot. Thanks!
