  • One of the most abundant birds across North America, and one of the most boldly colored, the Red-winged Blackbird likes to sit atop cattails, along soggy roadsides, and on telephone wires or chimneys. They’re quite small. But my 200mm did the job.
  • In the first time two and a half years I’ve had my iPhone, I dropped it yesterday. I was so frustrated. I shattered my iPhone’s screen. Luckily, I found an awesome repair kit and when I fix it it should be good as new.

  • I’ve lived in my current house for about six years. When we first moved in, our lawn was sodded. It took almost two years before my grass looked sort of decent. After a lot of hard work and cash, my lawn looks good. But I have competition. My next-door neighbors are a very nice retired Asian couple. And all they pretty much do during the day is fidget with the grass. They wake up really early to water the lawn. And they water it again in the evening. I can only water it during the evenings. And they know that and they let me know it too. My competition is rough! My sprinklers (foreground) can’t keep up.

  • Bird photography is incredibly hard. Especially if you’re only shooting with an 70-200mm lens. However, patience is the hardest part. Waiting in the afternoon light for birds to sit somewhere can be quite frustrating. It’s all worth it.
